XtraMath needs a native French-speaker for acting role

We are creating a French-language version of our online math program and are looking for somebody with native French fluency to serve as a teacher character in a series of short online videos that explain the program to students, parents, and teachers. If you know someone that would be good for this role please forward them this message.

In the English version of our program this position is filled by “Mr. C”.

The ideal “professeur C” is:

  • Adult male or female
  • Native French speaker with standard continental French accent
  • Comfortable in front of the camera (drama or camera experience a plus!)
  • Has the poise of a friendly, experienced teacher

You do not have to be an actual teacher to apply for this role, nor is there any math proficiency required. Videotaping will take place in Seattle over one or two days at a mutually convenient time. If you live outside of Seattle we will arrange for transportation, accommodation, and cover expenses. In addition, we pay $300 or donate $500 to the charity of your choice. Your videos will be seen by millions of kids and you will inspire many of them to higher math achievement.

To apply, please send a short introduction to jennifer@xtramath.org. Attach a photo and put French Prof C in the subject line. If you have questions you can email them to Jennifer as well. The deadline depends on how many applications we receive. We plan to film at the beginning of March.

If someone forwarded you this mail then they obviously think you would be good for this role! Thank you for considering this opportunity.

What is XtraMath? XtraMath is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to math achievement for all. Visit us at www.xtramath.org.
